Position SummaryPosition Summary and Special Duties:
Fully competent in complex progressive die construction, maintenance, and strip development
Production troubleshooting of press systems operating in excess of 500 strokes per minute is essential
Must be able to plan and perform a wide range of tool room operations connected with the maintenance, repair and alteration of progressive stamping dies, blade sharpening equipment, and process equipment
Competently perform form grinding of carbide tooling components
Use outstanding judgment to verify new dies, equipment, and tooling
Have a thorough knowledge of machine shop practices
Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints and technical data.
Work from complicated drawings, sketches, samples or verbal instructions
Interpret drawings, plan and lay out work, diagnose, and correct issues
Use shop mathematics, charts, tables, and handbook formulas, and trigonometry
Use of all types of precision measuring instruments and gages
Be able to multitask in a diversified work environment
Physical Requirements
Be able to move (push, pull, or otherwise manipulate) materials up to 75Ibs in and around equipment, racks, and machine tools prior to machining and to stock material in their proper locations.
Required Skills and ExperienceMinimum
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED.
Completion of a recognized Tool & Die Apprenticeship program. A minimum of 7 years' experience on a wide variety of Progressive Die and Machine Construction. Must maintain a 9.0 score to continue to the interviewing process.
