Position Summary

Global Business Manager performs as the co-leader of the New Product Development Team (PDT). The PDT is dedicated to developing a new product from concept to introduction based on a product brief provided to them by the Management Board.


This team is chartered to work with Regional Management Representatives to reflect the needs and market conditions of the major markets as well as with all functional areas and appropriate vendors to develop the optimal product.


Accountabilities

New Product Development



  • Functions as co-leader on the Product Development Team primarily responsible for all commercial activities and participates in all critical decisions concerning the product's technical development.

  • In partnership with Global Consumer Insights, identify consumer insights, positioning, brand essence, emotional & rationale benefits, and target user for all new products. Make recommendation to Global Segment Director.

  • Work closely with Global Consumer Insights to develop an effective and efficient research plan to support the new product's development.

  • Develop and present globally acceptable packaging designs, graphics, branding, etc.

  • Recommend price positioning

  • Work with the Global Director, Brand Communications to develop and present a globally acceptable advertising brief and brief agency. Provide input into advertising development via Global Segment Director and/or Global Director, Brand Communications.

  • Work with the RD&E PDT co-leader to prepare and gain approval for all contracts.


Global Business Management



  • Responsible for the preparation and presentation of the business plan in support of the new product plan, including forecasts and P&Ls

  • Analyze post launch performance against launch approval metrics and BASES results, where available and recommend corrective actions.

  • Inputs to Global Segment Director on segment strategy.

  • Oversee global brand stewardship including life cycle of brand, including cosmetic & next generation upgrades

  • Monitor and analyze competitive activity

  • Work with regions to define the growth drivers for the brand

  • Able to lead development of CAR/CER for product line extension/restage


Brand Development (New Product)



  • Possesses a deep understanding of technical and manufacturing specifications of a product; uses knowledge to guide business recommendations

  • Leads product improvement projects requiring interfacing with GCI, R&D and the Commercial teams

  • Leads Ideation projects in conjunction with GCI/R&D and external resources

  • Implements projects via the NPD Stage Gate process

  • Understanding of key functional organizations

  • Established partnerships with key contacts across the organization (Commercial, Trade Marketing, Consumer Insights, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, R&D)

Required Skills and Experience

  • B.A/B.S. Degree

  • Minimum 5-9 years' experience in consumer packaged goods marketing

  • Proven leadership and strategic abilities

  • Must be a decisive, action oriented individual with experience leading others

  • Proven ability to communicate cross functionally

  • Proven ability to work effectively on teams

  • Must demonstrate mastery of marketing techniques

  • Creative problem solver who is able to prioritize well and juggle many projects

Work Environment



  • This position is based in Milford, CT.

  • This position will be required to work a 37.5 hours per week.

  • Other travel, domestic and international, may be required from time to time.

  • This position will also be required to perform additional duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
